A Rock in the Storm

In which I finally grasp anatomy well enough to take a whack at visual man love - puns very much intended. I could sit here and gripe about the futility of playing Where's Waldo with structural landmarks from an indirectly lit reference, but I'd rather enjoy the expression and form that I captured. And the hair. I really should draw Cao Ren with his full mane at some point, but I liked the contrast of his topknot with Lu Meng's flowing locks.

Time: A leisurely 2 weeks or so. I spent a good long while on the pencils and decided to leave them in, so the ink only took 2 nights to add on.

Pose reference and inspiration: Tumblr photo that seems to have disappeared off the tubes. I increased the cuddle factor and added about twenty pounds of beef.
